I brought a cat here many years ago. She insisted he had feline leukemia, and wanted to euthanize. I very stupidly consented, and found out afterwards that it had been a mild illness that would have resolved itself, given time. I will never forgive myself for listening to this vet. I do NOT recommend this vet at all!
I've heard she's good with livestock, but she's not overly good with small animals. We took my husband's dog to her because he was sick, she spent the entire time scolding us about giving him table food (mostly vegetables) and told us his blood tests were going to come back very bad... they were perfect, but did we get an apology for the nagging? No. Out of desperation, we took our cat there a few years later and even though we told her she's a Manx, she went on and on about how we shouldn't have had her tail docked (she was born that way). My cat, at that time, had a weight problem and so do I, she made a comment about it and said just because I overate didn't mean my cat should. If my cat hadn't been so sick, I would've left right then. She didn't actually do what needed to be done for the cat, we were led to believe she had, and almost lost her because of it. Nearly $600 in vet bills later at another vet, she was finally better. To be completely fair in this review, she DID save the eye of one of my mom's dogs when it got popped out during a fight. But her manner is gruff, sometimes downright hateful, she has no tact whatsoever, and I wouldn't take my pets there again.
I will never bring my poor cat back to this hospital. They gave us no instructions after she had been declawed. They treated her so horribly she was growling at the staff (which she never does at home). They could have cared less about how to treat animals, and I had to take her to another hospital due to infection. Rethink coming here.
Dr Judy Dierckman and her staff were very caring and supportive during my recent visit. I was visiting family in Brookville when my Boykin Spaniel, Molly, needed to be put to sleep. It was a hard decision that came after months of declining health. Dr Dierckman was kind and answered my questions about the procedure. I would definitely recommend her services.
Judy is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Her staff are great but she is terrible.
