Given the chance, I would bring by future business to The Hermitage without a second thought.
The historic, Indiana based paintings that adorn the walls are both beautiful and hold historic value from the original owners of the property. The level of detail in the craftsmanship of the building and furnishings is simply amazing. They simply do not build to the same quality today that they did in the first half of the 19th century.
At The Hermitage B&B you really get an authentic chance to relax and travel back in time. The owner of the B&B, who I affectionately called Grandma, is an absolutely fascinating lady that loves to entertain. During my stay at The Hermitage, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Grandma and listen to the stories and the history of the building. In addition to conversing with my party and me, Grandma, was willing to bend over backwards to make sure we were enjoying our stay.
Martha is very accomodating and the house is impressive. We had a great stay.
Martha is the best and one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. She makes you feel like you are at home and you can't beat the price for the value. She makes good blueberry muffins for breakfast too!
